We are so excited to host Pasadena native, Reggie Myles as he celebrates his debut poetry book, D.E.N.A. B.O.Y. on Saturday October 10th at 5pm.

Reggie Myles is an African American and Afro-Salvadoran spoken word poetry artist, community organizer, and cultural worker from Pasadena, CA. His writing centers the Black experience through themes + concepts of joy, healing, resistance, identity, and spirituality. Reggie is a wordsmith, invoking the radical imagination and connections in his garden of poems. His voice weaves together the personal and the communal, allowing his poems to be not only a text but also a gathering of memory, resistance, and truth.

​Reggie is the founder of Elijahs Roses, an artistic platform and creative brand that showcases his multidisciplinary projects and poetry. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in Sociology and African American Studies. Lastly, his community work centers social and economic justice for Black communities through Black labor movements and mutual aid organizing with the Pasadena Black Equity Project.
